Since the program’s inception in 2001, 172 skilled graduate students have served nearly 80 public and nonprofit organizations in the Lehigh Valley through the Community Fellows Program.

Joe is a Community Fellow with the United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley and the Lehigh Valley Alliance on Aging, aiding in their efforts to help older adults stay as independent as possible through funding of center-based support programs and various daily assistance programs, from transportation to meal provision/preparation, and more. He is involved in crafting the United Way’s investment plan for older adult programs and the development of a comprehensive library of older adult resources, and will be involved in the analysis of forthcoming survey research regarding the older population of the Lehigh Valley. Joe is an M.A. candidate in Political Science.
