2010-2011
Angela is a Community Fellow with New Bethany Ministries, a non‐profit organization serving the needs of the poor, the homeless, and mentally ill individuals of the Lehigh Valley. Angela is working on a variety of development projects designed to increase social awareness of New Bethany’s clients and its mission, while engaging younger members of the local community with New Bethany’s work. During the fall semester, Angela’s accomplishments included the planning, organization, and execution of the “Willet Snow on Christmas?” benefit concert, which raised funds and awareness of New Bethany’s mission while bringing together an audience of Lehigh students, staff and New Bethany clients. This spring Angela is working with board members on New Bethany’s 25th Anniversary Committee, which is developing a springtime celebration in honor of the work that New Bethany Ministries has accomplished over the past two and a half decades. Angela will also serve as a grant writer to assist in the acquisition of future funding in order to support the numerous programs managed by New Bethany Ministries and will work on policy analysis and research, some of which are directly linked to her development work. Angela is a M.A. candidate in Political Science.
