Molly Harper

Lehigh University’s Center for Developing Urban Educational Leaders
Molly is a Community Fellow at Broughal Middle School, where her responsibilities involve the development of school initiatives through writing-based work. As a community school, Broughal (with the help of its partners) plans and organizes programs and services available to students, their families, and the local community. Many of the initiatives and projects Molly is working on support and promote Broughal’s mission and shape its impact as a hub for the community. Molly is writing and designing Broughal’s new monthly newsletter, and is planning a curriculum for and helping to coordinate the “Rocket Writers” afterschool program. She has written a grant proposal for one of Broughal’s community service programs and will continue to research and write purposeful grants for educational programming. Throughout the year, her work will include conducting qualitative research for the assessment of program needs and services and the implementation of marketing strategy to better connect Broughal with Lehigh’s student body. Molly is an M.A. candidate in Sociology.
