Allen Prendergast

Allen Prendergast works in Broughal Community Middle School, under the guidance of Lehigh University’s Center for Developing Urban Educational Leaders(CDUEL).  CDUEL oversees Lehigh University’s lead partnership in the Community School model at Broughal. Allen has been involved with grant writing and research and seeking funding for existing and new Community School programs and projects. This semester he is working on an employment assistance program for parents of Broughal students, and will work with teachers to assess the efficacy of the Family Center, which acts as a community hub within Broughal.  Additionally, he has helped create the inaugural Student Government Association at Broughal Middle School. Allen is an M.A candidate in Political Science.
