Organization: Community Action Development Bethlehem

My name is Shinam Hussain and I am pursuing an MA in Politics and Policy at Lehigh. I am a recent graduate of Muhlenberg College, with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Sociology. I hope to gain a deeper understanding of the non-profit sector and how political and social non-profits function in developing and preserving communities for marginalized identities. I’m developing experience and understanding in providing equitable and accessible housing to the Bethlehem community in my work with Community Action Development Bethlehem, an opportunity I have immense gratitude for, as it sets me up to gain the skills necessary to pursue a career in non-profit work.

Organization: City of Bethlehem

My name is Risa Nkululeko and I am currently pursuing an MA in Public Policy at Lehigh University. As a Lehigh alumna, I recently earned my Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Africana Studies, with a minor in Global Studies. On a pre-law track, I am eager to gain mentorship, strengthen my skills, and apply my knowledge to the field of public policy. I am grateful for the opportunity to work closely with the City of Bethlehem through the Community Fellowship Program, where I will gain hands-on experience while deepening my understanding of municipal governance.
